Jimmy Page & Robert Plant

‘High Octane Zep’

A classic print of Page & Plant for your home, bar or rock club.
I’ve been asked by many Led Zeppelin fans to create a Page/Plant painting, so here it is. It’s one of the larger original oil paintings that I’ve done, measuring 40” x 48”. (the print is 21.5” x 26”) I chose some energetic poses from their early days in Led Zeppelin together that capture their spirit well. You can almost hear the tunes coming off the image.

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant recorded and toured in the mid-1990s under the title Page and Plant. They were both formerly of the English rock band Led Zeppelin.

Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals), John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards) and John Bonham (drums). With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin are regarded as one of the first heavy metal bands. However, the band’s individualistic style draws from many sources and transcends any one genre. Their rock-infused interpretation of the blues and folk genres also incorporated rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, classical, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, pop, Latin and country. The band did not release the popular songs from their albums as singles in the UK, as they preferred to develop the concept of album-oriented rock.
