Gregg Allman
– BayBrah
A pencil face study for the full length Gregg Allman painting. I’ll post photos along the way!
Here’s the small color pencil sketch that will drive the 18″ x 52″ oil painting.
Gregory gets a start…
Can you hear it?
Gregory’s hands are the midpoint of this vertical painting…
Gregory…stretching out!
Gregory, wailing for some strings…
Gregory gets his Fender.
Nearing completion!
Gregory is done…and it feels really good!!

Loving every moment of Gregg….You’ve outdone yourself again….I know you’re not even finished and I’m totally gee-whizzed!
It is a work of art in every sense of the word. You so captured Gregg singing — the emotion, the focus, his stance, the other-worldly (i.e., psychedelic) essence of him and his music, and not least of all, his damn good looks. I’m going to try to beg, borrow, or steal the money for a print. (Okay, I won’t really steal.)
Fantastic Work!! I’m So taken back to my fondest memories of The Brothers, wish I cou afford a print. Maybe in the future I can be able to posess your greatest!! My daughter is studing at SCAD in Atlanta she is in awe as I am of your talent, please never stop.
These paintings of Gregg, Duane, and Berry are so special. Tom Knoll has captured the artists at their best!
